On the 16th of March we were visited by the Anoia Bike Tour’s manager, Ramón Prats.
This witty, eager entrepreneur, created 2 BTT routes in our region. First, he worked in Alta Anoia where the rural and active tourism is more developed. There, the users can contemplate a great landscape and stay over the night in the different holiday cottages, as well as tasting our local traditional food -what is as a very well considered gastronomy for strangers. This route is called “La gran ruta BTT al cor de Catalunya."
Lately, he has been working on the southern route, called “Anoiabiketour sud, terra de castells”, a 115 km long track which goes past La Pobla de Claramunt, Orpí, Vilademàjer, Queralt, Miralles, Tous and La Tossa de Montbui’s castles and the Claramunt tower.
ANOIA RACE TOUR also organizes for the forthcoming 14th and 15th of May, a new experience on the active tourism, suitable for every kind of person. It will have 4 different BTT route categories, as well as the Running and Nordic Walking, camp sitting, rural accommodation, regional gastronomy, the so-called Pasta Party and various activities for guests not participating in the race.
Thanks to Ramón for the energy he transmitted us through his talk and for his offer to join his project by participating on it. We are absolutely sure that, with tourist agents of his caliber, it will be easier for our region to reach the point we all want to attain.
