Xavier Bermúdez, an expert historian archeologist from Vilanova, visited us. He spoke about his municipality’s cultural heritage. The talk was very edifying. Thanks to it, we could corroborate how by stimulating and valuing the territory’s heritage resources we can create economic activity by bringing visitors closer to our area. Xavi showed us the town-planning development of Vilanova del Camí with early small centers of population situated around the highroad. He also talked about the need for protection of the heritage in order to preserve it.
He also showed us the latest news about Vilar del Met, an Iberian Roman site from Vilanova, and how various archeologic techniques give us information about a site which isn’t excavated yet.
