The council officer listed the current Anoia tourist resources. For instance, as far culture tourism is concerned, he talked about the museums and the Romanesque buildings (several bell tower pictures from different municipalities are displayed in the lecture hall). Regarding the adventure tourism, which has lately become up-to-the minute in our region, we can list: paintball, trekking or MTB tours, although the most outstanding facility is the Parc Motor in Castellolí. The rural tourism is a very important tourism field which is mainly implemented in Alta Anoia.
Jordi Mercader also mentioned the two tourist mainstays which must be fostered: the just mentioned Parc Motor and the Museu del Neardental de Capellades (Neanderthal Museum of Capellades) together with the Hostelets de Pierola site with Pau
He also talked about another region’s accessible tourism project which is currently being carried out. It is a research of all the tourist resources to make sure they are accessible and disabled people can be able to properly get everywhere.
